20nine30 Studio is a collection of recording environments and shared workspaces for artists working across genres and disciplines.
We conceive the recording studio as an instrument: a place for recording, listening, experimentation and exchange, and for sonic practices ranging from the traditional to the radical.
The studios are used by musicians, composers, engineers, artists and neighbours and, from time to time, by the children of the kindergarten downstairs.

We organize the studios around a limited number of Production Blocks each day. This allows productions to begin and end efficiently while keeping the studios available to a broad range of artists and projects.
Individual call times, load-ins, setup periods, recording sessions, Studio Concerts, breakdown and load-out are coordinated in advance with each production.
This production rhythm enables different projects to coexist throughout the day while allowing each production sufficient time for preparation, creative work and transition.

The studio is equipped with tape recorders, analog reverb, a Leslie / Hammond Organ and much more. Designed not only for recording, but also as a space for experimenting with sound, developing ideas and listening.

Every month, on the 29th and 30th, 20nine30 opens its doors for mini-residencies, welcomes artists or hosts programmes developed by the community. This provides a regular timeframe and space for exchange, experimentation and artistic collaboration.
STUDIO concerts
Studio Concerts are conceived as an extension of the recording environment.
They connect performance, recording and production rather than conventional venue operation.
Studio Concerts generally begin in the late afternoon or evening, coordinated within the studio's production rhythm.
Preparation, load-in and setup may begin earlier according to the surrounding production schedule.
Amplified sound ends at 22:30.
Quiet recording, editing, breakdown and load-out may continue until 00:00.
Basic lighting is included.
